Third Sunday of Advent - Joy

NO in-person Sunday School or Worship Service due to inclement weather.

This Sunday is the Third Sunday of Advent when the third candle in the Advent Wreath will be lit. Since we will not have in-person worship, we will use the worship service from 2024 when the third candle was lit.

Advent is the season of preparing for the coming of Christ in three ways: (1) the First Coming of Christ when he was born of Mary on Christmas Day; (2) the Second Coming of Christ, which will take place at an unexpected hour, when either we encounter him when he returns to earth for the second time, or when our mortal bodies die and we encounter him in the life everlasting; and (3) the daily encounter with Christ, as Christ seeks to be in living relationship in every moment of every day.
