Over the past four Sundays we have been focusing on our Stewardship Campaign. Our theme has been, There Our Hearts Will Be. It has been based on Matthew 6:21 which says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Stewardship is not primarily about money. It’s about placing your heart in God’s hands and trusting that where your heart goes, your life, your choices, and your resources will follow. We have heard music, testimonies, sermons about the power of generosity, the joy of giving, and the difference that giving can make in our community & in our world.
Today, November 8th, is Commitment Sunday. This is the day that we will receive your Faith Promise card. We are asking you to make a financial commitment to the church for 2027. These Faith Promise cards are important. They will help the Stewardship Committee develop an accurate church budget for 2027. That church budget will need to receive approval from the Consistory. It will then be presented to you, the Congregation, on the first Sunday in December at our Congregational Meeting. At that meeting you will review the budget, ask questions if you have any, and then vote whether or not you approve of the budget.
We will celebrate the culmination of the campaign with a catered meal in the fellowship hall following today’s service. All are invited, all are welcome to attend.
As all Sundays, we will gather in worship of God, our Creator and Sustainer. Please join us. All are welcome!
