This Sunday’s Gospel is from John 20:19-31. This is the account of Jesus’ appearance to his disciples after his resurrection, when he appeared to them behind locked doors and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Although initially fearful, once the disciples saw the risen Christ and received the Holy Spirit, they became transformed and emboldened to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ.
