Worship Service Canceled due to Weather: Second Sunday after Epiphany

Epiphany is the celebration of the arrival of the Wise Men to Bethlehem, revealing the good news of the Christian message and the reign of Christ being for the whole world.  It is celebrated on January 6 - the 12th day after Christmas.

The season of Epiphany is when we celebrate the light of Christ coming to all the people, not just to a certain chosen.  The season of Epiphany reminds us of our role to take the love and the word of God out into the world to all people; this is a season of "mission" and growth through our outreach, symbolized by the green paraments (altar cloth coverings) used through most of this season.

Join us as we continue to celebrate the season of Epiphany. This week’s Gospel reading is from the Book of John, Chapter 2, when Jesus performs his first miracle, turning water to wine, at the wedding in Cana of Galilee.

For more information about our worship services, or how to help with the music, liturgy, readings, decorating, greeting, AV, etc., you can contact our Worship Committee, which includes: Larry H. (chair); Terry P. (vice chair); and Diane M.
